The Journey Ever since I have been a little kid people have always asked me what I want to be when I grow up. Just a couple years ago is when I actually got a feel for what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have figured out that I would like to go to a four year university, cheer in college, and go to medical school. One of the most important things for me to accomplish in life is to go to a four year university. I have worked really hard in school to keep my grades at a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher. I have also enrolled myself in harder classes like, English honors, Algebra 2 trig, and chemistry. I also got accepted into a volunteer program at my mom’s hospital over the summer, but I had to decline the offer because I had other things going on. I am hoping next summer I will be able to participate in that program. One of the four year universities I really want to go to is UCLA. This university interests me because it is very well known; also because it is a very big and nice campus with lots of programs and classes I’m interested in enrolling myself in. I am also very interested in cheering in college. As of right now I have cheered for nine years. Seven of those years were as a Vikings cheerleader; the other two were here at Royal. To help improve myself in cheer I take tumbling classes at Cheer Force. I have accomplished in getting my back handspring and I have moved on to getting a back tuck, also known as a backflip. As of right now I am a sophomore on varsity which is helping me improve because each day I strive to be as good as all of the people older than me on my team. I also want to be a cheerleader in college because when you are on a cheer team or on any team in that matter you are able to gain a second family from it. They are people you can go to with any problem or situation and they will help you through it, no matter what. At one point during my life in college I would like to be accepted into a medical program. I would need to be accepted into a medical program to become an L&D nurse or a stem cell researcher. Going to UCLA would actually really help with this because they already have a medical program at UCLA so if I got accepted into it, I wouldn’t…

“Cousins are the first friends we have as children. No one will ever understand your crazy family like they do.” –Anonymous. Since I was too young, I could not fully learn the Japanese language but I managed to learn the basic stuff on my own free time. Here in America, I would be considered mixed, but yet I consider myself full Peruvian, because I lived in Peru for 13 years but you'd be surprised of how many westerners and Asians live there, it's like a mini-United States…

Tracing back to the time at the age of 6, I found my interest, piano, which I would never thought to be the biggest success in my life I’ve persisted for so long. And it would never be the success without my mom helping me for lots. I felt totally attracted by the piano when I was in the kindergarten. That was the time my mother noticed my interest from my teacher’s words. She said that I often went to play the hand wind piano in my tone, even the piano cover fell…

With a dream of being a successful businesswoman, one year ago, I went to Seattle to attend North Seattle Community College. I chose to study here because of its excellence in teaching and its friendly campus. I have gained a lot of experiences at North Seattle as I lived faraway from home. Overall, that year affected significantly my perception of the world and of the future which I want to achieve.
I am Franklin. I am from Africa, Cameroon. I never knew how it felt to be deaf until I left Cameroon three years ago. There, I did not understand English at all. It did not make sense to me and, it was very painful experience. I could hear noise and people talking around me but I was not getting the meaning. It was very difficult to be around people that were learning, laughing, and joking and not be able to understand. This was the first time in my life, I felt excluded, like…
are an incredible race capable of great things and yet, we are equally capable of cheating, lying and all sorts of bad behaviour when it suits our purpose. I think that when faced with a situation where the perceived risk is less than the potential personal gain, where the consequences are minimal if any, humans will often choose to do the wrong thing in order to benefit themselves.
The TV program “What Would You Do?” takes this concept to another level, where they look at this issue not from an…
